PRERNA EDUCATION • POLICY & TRANSPARENCY

Refund Policy

Prerna Education follows a fair, transparent and record-based process for considering fee refund applications. Every request is reviewed against the applicable programme structure, academic services provided and verified institutional records.

How refund requests are assessed

A refund decision is made after examining the institute’s admission and enrolment records, fee and finance records, academic programme structure, academic calendar, course duration, attendance, student communications and the classes or academic services already provided.

1. Admission and acceptance

Admission is completed after counselling the student and parent about the programme structure, academic roadmap, faculty-allocation process, class schedule, programme duration, total fee and available payment arrangements.

By completing admission, the student and parent confirm that they understand and accept the programme fee, course duration, payment structure and this Refund Policy.

2. Standard, discounted and composite fees

The standard programme fee is communicated at admission. Any scholarship, discount or special concession granted will become the final agreed composite fee used for refund calculation.

A discounted composite fee is not automatically divided equally between academic years, terms, subjects or months unless stated in the admission documents or allocated according to the programme structure for refund purposes.

3. What the composite fee covers

The fee applies to the complete academic programme and is not a month-to-month tuition arrangement. It covers the structured academic services offered by Prerna Education.

4. Basis of refund calculation

Refundable Amount = Academic Fee Considered for Calculation − Fee Applicable to the Completed or Availed Academic Period − Other Documented and Lawful Adjustments

5. Class XI–XII Two-Year Integrated Programme

Unless a different allocation is expressly stated in the admission documents, the academic fee is allocated as follows for refund-calculation purposes.

Class XI — 60%

If the student has completed or availed the complete Class XI programme, the full Class XI fee component stands adjusted against the academic services provided. No refund applies to the completed Class XI component.

Class XII — 40%

The Class XII programme is ordinarily scheduled from April to December, a total duration of eight months. If a student discontinues during Class XII, the fee is calculated proportionately for the period already availed.

Class XII Monthly Academic Fee = Total Class XII Fee Component ÷ 8 Months

Refundable Class XII Fee = Class XII Fee Component − Fee Applicable to the Class XII Period Already Availed

Any minor difference caused by rounding will be adjusted in the final calculation.

6. Other academic programmes

For programmes other than the Class XI–XII Two-Year Integrated Programme, the refund will be calculated from the total programme duration, agreed programme fee, applicable discount, academic period already completed, remaining unavailed period, services already provided and programme-specific terms communicated at admission.

No refund applies to a completed course, academic year, term or programme component.

7. EMI and third-party finance

8. Submitting a refund application

The student, parent or legal guardian must submit a written refund application. The date on which Prerna Education receives the written application will be treated as the official refund-request date.

9. Verification and determination

Prerna Education verifies admission, fee, finance-disbursement, course schedule, duration, attendance, communication and academic-service records before preparing a written calculation showing:

10. Previous refund adjustment

Any amount already paid towards the refund is deducted from the total refund determined.

Remaining Refund = Total Refund Determined − Refund Already Paid

11. Processing and formalities

After verification, the approved refund is processed within the period applicable under law and, where possible, paid to the original payer or original payment method.

Required formalities may include bank and identity verification, confirmation of calculation, finance-provider coordination, a refund acknowledgement and a settlement receipt.

12. Final settlement

Once the total refund determined has been paid, including any balance after adjusting an earlier refund, the institutional refund calculation stands fully settled, subject to applicable law.

The acknowledgement, payment record and calculation statement form part of Prerna Education’s official records.

13. General conditions

By completing admission at Prerna Education, the student and parent acknowledge that they have read, understood and accepted this Refund Policy.
