NTA has started the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 registration process at jeemain.nta.nic.in. This year, the NTA has introduced many changes to JEE Main application and the overall exam process. Know details here

JEE Mains 2022: As per the latest updates, National Testing Agency (NTA)  has started the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 registration process. Candidates can submit their online forms at – jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to register for JEE Mains is 31st March 2022. The authorities have also released the exam dates and information brochure.

Also, this year, the NTA has introduced many changes to JEE Main application and the overall exam process. JEE Mains 2022 exam will be held in two phases – April and May. JEE Mains 2022 phase 1 will commence on 16th April 2022, while phase 2 will be held from 24th to 29th May.

JEE Mains Application Form 2022

The NTA JEE Main 2022 application form window is now active on the official website –  jeemain.nta.nic.in. Class 12 science students are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2022 to get admission in B.Tech./B.E, B.Arch courses. The online JEE Main application form 2022 includes filling out the registration form, uploading required documents, payment of JEE 2022 application fee. Before registering for JEE Mains 2022, engineering aspirants should know the changes introduced this year.

JEE Main 2022 Application Correction Facility

This time, NTA has decided not to provide the facility to make corrections in the application form once filled. The authorities informed candidates that no corrections will be permitted once the application form is submitted. Therefore, candidates are requested to fill in the JEE Main application form very carefully.

JEE Mains 2022 Marking Scheme

As per the information brochure released by NTA “It has been decided to provide choices in one section of each subject of Paper 1 and Part-I of Paper 2A and 2B to cater to the decision of different Boards across the country regarding the reduction of the syllabus. However, the total number of questions to be attempted will remain the same (Physics – 25, Chemistry – 25, and Mathematics – 25), wherever applicable.”

There will be negative marking in Section B. As per the JEE Mains 2022 exam pattern, Section A will be of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value.

In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B. “For each question in Section B, enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer. For Section B, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest Integer,” the NTA said.

JEE Mains 2022 Attempts

This time, JEE Main 2022 will only have two attempts instead of four. The engineering entrance test will be held in April and May. The NTA has also shared the benefit of multiple attempts in JEE Main 2022 on the official website.

Candidates will be able to appear for the exam multiple times to improve their scores. A candidate need not appear in both sessions. However, if a candidate appears in more than one session then their best of the JEE Main 2022 NTA scores will be considered for preparation of merit list or ranking.

JEE Mains Exam Centres 2022

The choice of exam cities shown to the candidates will be based on the permanent and correspondence address filled during JEE Mains application form 2022. Earlier, candidates could choose exam centres listed by the NTA anywhere in India or abroad. Further, the number of JEE Mains 2022 exam cities has been increased to 514 exam cities in India and 13 abroad. Earlier, there were 334 centres in India and 12 test centres abroad.

JEE Main 2022 Medium of Paper

As per the National Education Policy (NEP), the JEE (Main) 2022 will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
