JEE Advanced is a national level engineering entrance exam conducted by one of the IITs for admission to B.Tech courses in IITs and other top engineering colleges across India. It is an advanced version of JEE Main which is also conducted for admission to undergraduate programs at NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutes across India. JEE Advanced 2023 will tentatively be held in May or June 2023 at various test centers across India. The results will be declared on the official website of JEE Advanced.
Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2023 are as follows:
Age Limit: Applicants should be born on or after 1st October 1998. However, 5 years is relaxed for candidates of SC, ST and PWD categories.
Qualifying Marks: Candidates must have qualified and secured a rank in JEE Main 2023 to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.
Number of Attempts: A candidate can appear for JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
Exam pattern
The JEE Advanced exam consists of two papers. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 are compulsory for all candidates and carry equal weightage. The length of each post is 3 hours. The exam pattern for JEE Advanced 2023 is as follows:
Paper 1: Contains questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). It will have 54 questions with 18 questions from each subject in both multiple choice and numerical answer format.
